Registration is now open for Troop 202′s Merit Badge Academy on May 12 at Vista Church in Orlando. For our ninth Merit Badge Academy we are including classes we have never offered before, along with some Eagle favorites. We’re also offering two special classes that aren’t for merit badges but that can help Scouts …

Citizenship in the World. An Eagle-required merit badge.

Path to First Class. Teaching essential skills to help reach First Class rank.
What to Know After High School. Real-world skills for the post-Boy Scout era after high school.

Classes run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with check-in starting at 7:30 a.m. Space is limited in each class. The cost is $25, which includes lunch — and you can pay by mail or via PayPal. Registration closes May 7.

January Merit Badge Academy a big success

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Jan. 14 Merit Badge Academy, the eighth one we have hosted. We’ve started a new tradition of taking a class photo for our MBA. Here are the boys who participated in the four classes we offered this time: Citizenship in the Nation, Communication, Family Life and Leatherwork. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. Our next Merit Badge Academy is scheduled for May 12.
